Getting to most remote Carpathian corners in winter time is already of a challenge itself. Moreover, it is a perfect occasion to see the mountains in gorgeous, picturesque winter views. This trip will push the limits of what you can do on a hike.

Day 1 – Welcoming Day

Arrive early in the morning to Ivano-Frankivsk railway station.
Transfer to Kolomyya town. Take a guided tour around the downtown.
Visit the Hutsul Folk Art Museum of to get to know local culture better. Take a masterclass in traditional Easter-egg painting.

Overnight in a family-owned guesthouse

Day 2 – Testing hike

Travel to the heart of Carpathians – Bily Slon campsite – the base for your three-day hikes.

During the testing hike with an experienced guide you’ll ascende the altitude of 1184m of Kosaryshche-Stepanskyy mountain range, discover the beauty of mountains in fall or winter. In the evening relax back in the campsite. Distance to cover: 15km.

Overnight in a hostel.

Day 3- Hiking Challenge 

This day the strongest will cover 28km of mountain paths ascending to the altitude of 1583m of Mt. Skupova and 1250m to the magnificent megalithic Uhorski Rocks.

Enjoy a home-made lunch with a Hutsul family.

Overnight in a hostel.

Day 4 – Hiking and Farewell 

On the last day of your winter challenge you will conquer the Kostrych mountain range (1586m).Distance to cover: 20km.
Transfer to Ivano-Frankivsk railway station.
