Pack up, Europe! RyanAir just brought Ukraine closer

RyanAir launches its first flights to Ukraine, as the country joins its extensive network of now 34 destinations.

UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary and Poland are among the announced cities to be connected to both Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital and Lviv, the charming medieval city in the West. With 15 weekly flights around 250,000 travelers are expected to use the new airline routes per year, starting from October 2018.

With tourist numbers steadily growing, Ukraine still remains off-the-beaten track destination for most European travelers. However, with its vast territory, ancient history, varied natural attractions, coupled with low prices, the country is an excellent choice for a weekend trip, or a short holiday break.

Adventure travelers will love the stunning scenery of Carpathian Mountains, with many easy-to-challenging hiking and cycling routes. A wide selection of good quality accommodation (from 5* hotels to cozy family-owned guesthouses) will ensure the comfort of the trip. And absence of tourist crowds will be the cherry on the top of the travel cake.

History and architecture buffs will enjoy the inspiring UNESCO-listed churches of Ukraine’s capital, while the quiet cobbled streets of Lviv will remind you of Krakow or Prague. Odesa will add the fanfare to your beach itinerary, and small villages along your route are bound to remind you of the old times in the past.

So, pack your bags, check out one of our adventure and cultural tours to Ukraine, read up on our travel tips, and head off for the Indian summer in Ukraine. (Did we mention that October is still a wonderfully warm month for traveling around the country?).
