Day 1 - The One with All the Crafts

Total cycling: 30 km

Arrive to the town of Kolomyia – the cultural center of Hutsuls. Hutsuls are an ethno-cultural group of highlanders in Ukrainian Carpathian mountains, and has retained its distinctive culture and traditions.

Start your cycling adventure in Carpathians with this moderate route to the village of Kosmach.

Spend your afternoon visiting famous Hutsul artisans, skilled in traditional crafts such as egg-painting, embroidery, wood carving and weaving, observe their work and enjoy their beautiful creations. Sit down for a master class in your craft of choice and make your own handmade souvenir!

Overnight in a family-owned guesthouse

Day 2 -A Day with the shepherds

Total cycling: 30 km

Cycling along the picturesque mountainous road to the village of Sheshory.

Take a short hike to visit traditional highlanders' huts. Every summer Hutsuls still take herds of sheep from all over the villages and spend three months in the mountains, looking after the animals and preparing delicious cheese brynza. You'll have the chance to witness this old tradition, learn about the lives of Hutsul shepherds and try their famous cheese brynza.

In the afternoon join your host family in preparing delicious traditional dinner: pick up mushrooms for the soup, collect some vegetables from the farm fields, and practice making your own dumplings.

Day 3- Music and Architecture

Total cycling: 50 km

This day you will cycle along picturesque views of Carpathian mountains, cozy Hutsul villages and intricate wooden churches.

Stop by at the grazhda – museum that hosts traditional housing complex of Hutsul highlanders. Finish your day with a visit to the unique Museum of Traditional Hutsul musical instruments.

Day 4 - Along Hutsul Villages

Total cycling: 30 km

Enjoy your cycling day in Carpathian mountains towards the village of Vorokhta. A few up hills will be easy to conquer after the previous two cycling days. Enjoy the views of Mountain Hoverla – Ukraine's highest mountain peak (2061 m) and the rushing waters of River Cheremosh .

Day 5 -Along Hutsul Villages

Total cycling: 30 km

Continue your cycling trip to the town of Yaremche, where you can visit the famous souvenir’s bazaar or take a short hike to the nearby waterfall.

Transfer to Kolomyia. Leave Carpathian Mountains.

Overnight in a train

      Cycling is done on paved roads, however, with lots of up- and downhill. You should be an experienced cyclist or be considerably fit.
